Eyes: Deep garnet
Nose: Nice intense nose of red fruits (raspberry) dominated by a creamy character with notes of black fruits
Mouth: Full-bodied, elegant palate with a beautiful tannic structure. A fluidity that gives elegance. Nice long finish.

Harvested at the optimum maturity of each plot. Cold
pre-fermentation maceration.

Ageing: 18 months on fine lees in stainless steel tanks with oak staves.

Ripe and textured with some balanced tannins, this is a wine with a good future. The blend of Merlot and Cabernet Franc, reminiscent of neighboring Saint-Émilion, is perfumed and lightly smoky. Drink from 2025. — Roger Voss

About Château Bellevue

Château Bellevue is situated at 95 meters above sea level offering a magnificent view of the surrounding landscape of the entire Entre-Deux-Mers. In the 19th century Stendhal referred to the region as the "Tuscany of Bordeaux". The property is located in the middle of a hilly, clay-limestone terroir called "Terrefort", so-called because it is difficult to work, the white clay being hard in summer and soft in winter.

About Medium Red

Medium red wines can be called “food wines.” They offer up tons of flavor with a balance of zesty acidity which makes them match with a wide variety of foods (from zesty salads to rich and cheesy lasagna). These are the perfect mid-week wines for red wine lovers.

There are many varieties that span the mid-weight red wine category so, to name a few familiar ones, check out Grenache, Sangiovese, Merlot, Zinfandel, Montepulciano, Cabernet Franc and Barbera.
